Burr Hole Drainage

This surgery makes one or more small holes in your skull. It helps relieve excess pressure from a buildup of fluid or blood. If we don't relieve this pressure, it can damage your brain.

To protect our patients and our staff we ask if possible, please come to your appointment alone. If you are unable to attend alone, please bring along one other healthy person.

  • New or worsening cough
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Muscle Aches
  • Diarrhea or Stomach problems
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Redness around your eyes
  • Exposure to someone experiencing these symptoms
  • If you have traveled by airplane, train, bus or cruise ship
