Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (PLIF)

This procedure fuses two of your vertebrae with implants and bone graft material. It stabilizes your spine. It can be used to treat pain caused by degenerative disc disease.

To protect our patients and our staff we ask if possible, please come to your appointment alone. If you are unable to attend alone, please bring along one other healthy person.

  • New or worsening cough
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Muscle Aches
  • Diarrhea or Stomach problems
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Redness around your eyes
  • Exposure to someone experiencing these symptoms
  • If you have traveled by airplane, train, bus or cruise ship
